FAQs: Important Questions for wedding photographers
Q: How do you both handle a typical wedding day?
We are a husband and wife photography team. We think this has several advantages over working with a single photographer. Besides the obvious fact that we can be in two places at the same time (so you don’t miss anything when each of you are getting ready in different places), you get more images from any given moment. While one of us captures the main action, the other is capturing the reactions and emotions of your guests; thus giving you a more complete view of the wedding day that a single photographer can’t capture alone. There is nothing we can’t handle together.
Q: Do you bring back up equipment?
Absolutely. In fact, we both shoot with two cameras on our person for the whole day. In addition to our professional cameras, we have many extra lenses, cameras and lighting gear to cover any situation or environment.
Q: Are you a legal business with insurance?
Yes! We are totally covered. We have liability and equipment coverage through Main Street America. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance from us, be sure to ask us 4 weeks ahead of your wedding.
Q: Will you travel to our wedding?
Yes! We are based out of Worcester County Massachusetts, and we regularly shoot all over New England. Far away events may require an overnight stay. If we have to paraglide, float or hike to shoot your wedding there may be additional costs.
Q: Do you offer a military discount?
Absolutely yes. We are happy to offer 10% off wedding bookings to any active or retired military service members, and their soon to be spouses. We appriciate you both, thank you.
Q: How long will it take to see all our photos?
Post wedding we comb through all your images and select the best from your entire day. We fine tune each image by hand before they are put online for you to view. Typically, your private gallery of all edited images will be available for you to view in 3 weeks, but no later than 4 weeks after your wedding.
Q: How will you be dressed at our wedding?
Our goal is to blend in at your wedding; therefore we make sure to dress professionally and neatly, yet comfortable enough to jump into action! We are often complimented on our choice to not “dress in all black.” Our Behind The Scenes page has some great examples.
Q: Can you hold our date?
Unfortunately, we can’t. To be fair to every couple who inquires, we are first come first serve. If you know you want to work with us, do not wait! We have a family and only book so many weddings a year; popular dates fill quickly.
Q: How do we book you for our wedding?
First, you need to contact us and tell us a bit about you and your wedding details. We encourage meeting at our office, but can always chat on the phone or Facetime/Skype. Next, we will send you an online booking proposal with your package choice. Then, you send us your signed electronic contact and deposit (Super easy, no worries!). Once we have those two things you are officially booked and the date is reserved for you! YAY! You’ll absolutely love working with us.
