Magical Witch Themed Wedding at Hamilton Hall
Shelley and Angel had a magical witch themed wedding at Hamilton Hall on November 1st. It was such a pleasure to be involved in a thoughtful, unique wedding, especially as our season was coming to an end. Shelley and Angel took inspiration from Salem’s history and made it their own. Besides the gorgeous flowers, because well, anyone who knows me knows I love flowers! My favorite detail had to be the cake. So perfect. Cody’s favorite detail was the signature drinks. But more importantly was the obvious love and support for these two lovely ladies from all of their friends and family. They had a beautiful ceremony which concluded with a Jumping of the Broom! Then they rocked the reception until the very end. We will start off with one of Shelley and Angel’s favorite images from the day. 🙂
Thank you Shelley & Angel! What a beautiful witchy day!
Much Love!

How did you both meet?
“We originally met online, but it wasn’t an online romance. We exchanged a few very brief, casual messages over a period of several of weeks while not giving much thought about our interaction, neither of us were looking for a relationship. Then in conversation we found out that we had both gone to the same undergrad school (SUNY Purchase!). That moment sealed it – we knew we had to meet. We met in person on July 13, 2010; it was an otherwise unremarkable Tuesday night in Northampton, MA. Still drummers were drumming (literally! a drum circle was meeting at the church on the corner), our hearts pounding, the margarita’s flowing and our lives changed forever! It was instantaneous and we were inseparable from the very moment we met, over 4 years later we are still on our first date which never really ended!”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
“The glowing energy of love that overwhelmed everyone! It was pure magic, our hearts expanded a million times and everyone present felt it; it was life changing and not only for us as the couple getting married! So many guest have commented on how inspired the night was and how life changing their experience was. We received such an absolutely astonishing amount of love and warmth from every guest! Everyone was blown away by our event! We never expected how intense the outpouring of support would be! It has been amazing!”
What was the funniest?
“I don’t know that there were any “funny” “haha” moments…a lot of silliness from some unbearably cute kids, some pretty intentionally goofy dancing complete with nerd ball selfies, and our best man who forgot to do the “toast” part of his speech (who also won the award for dorkiest dancing)…but overall the mood was more spiritual and loving than funny.”
Advice for future couples?
“The advice I would give couples planning for their wedding day: Let who you are shine! Throw out the wedding magazines and limit your time on pinterest to the very beginning stages of planning…then unplug! Know the mood you want to create for yourselves, then know that there will be some bumps in the road to creating it. Surround yourself with the most supportive people (even if they are your vendors!) and let those people hold you together when things get rocky. The surprises we didn’t expect: not knowing if we would have a Maid-of-Honor until the morning of our wedding (her flight was canceled!) and how overwhelming it would feel to have all of the attention on us…helping us through this is where Audrey and Cody excelled! When everything and everyone was making us feel overwhelmed their presence was calming and secure! Best advice: don’t leave your serenity at home! Plan the plan and let go!”
