Ally & Ethan’s Maternity Photo Session – Bristol Rhode Island
Ally & Ethan’s maternity photo session was one I was really looking forward to. I photographed their wedding at Mount Hope Farm, so when they reached out for maternity photos, I could not have been more excited. One of the greatest gifts of this work is getting to walk alongside my clients through different seasons of life. Watching Ally and Ethan build their family has been incredibly special.
We went back to Bristol and returned to the area around Cove Cabin, which felt especially meaningful since this is where they were married. Using the property in a completely different way this time was such a fun shift. Ally and Ethan were relaxed, laughing, and clearly comfortable just being together. Nothing needed to be over-directed. That’s always my favorite kind of session.
We spent time along the rocky shoreline, then moved into the grassy fields as the light changed. One of the highlights was stopping at the exact spot where they said their vows under the cedar trees overlooking the ocean. Being back there again, now for a maternity session, felt full circle. The sunset that night was unreal!
Maternity sessions don’t have to feel posed or performative. They can be calm, fun, and rooted in places that matter. That’s always my goal.
