When this my favorite family reached out to me about photos I knew New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill would be the perfect venue. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing The Pope Family many times, and this session at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill in Boylston, MA, was extra special. With two new little grandchildren joining the family, it was the perfect time for updated portraits!

Since it was late fall, we took full advantage of the stunning indoor spaces at Tower Hill, especially The Limonia and The Orangerie. These botanical-filled areas gave us the perfect mix of lush greenery and soft natural light, creating a beautiful setting for their extended family session.

The Popes wanted very traditional family group portraits, making sure to capture every combination. Kiddos are always unpredictable, and that’s part of the magic! I embrace their energy and spontaneity, capturing them just as they are—because those little moments are just as important as the classic family portraits.

A family session with me is always about balance. Yes, we get those timeless, posed shots, but I also focus on the in-between moments—the laughter, the connections, and the little interactions that show your family’s true spark.
