Lisa & Taylor’s Hotel Salem Wedding
Lisa and Taylor’s Hotel Salem wedding was witchy, woodsy, whimsical, and completely them. Salem, Massachusetts was the perfect backdrop for a day that didn’t take itself too seriously while still being full of intention, meaning, and a whole lot of love. Think purples, blacks, whites, and greens, layered with uplighting, twinkle lights, and that unmistakable Salem energy.
The ladies got ready at Hotel Salem. Lisa was already laughing, cracking jokes, and having fun with every moment. What I love about Lisa and Taylor is that they are truly best friends. They do everything together. They joke, laugh nonstop, and share a passion for the same things; from track and field to lifting and health. Their connection is easy and genuine.
Their first look took place just outside the hotel, under the ginkgo trees, and some of my favorite images from the day happened right there. The brick walls, alleyways, and cobblestone streets around the hotel gave us such a strong, textured backdrop that felt perfectly Salem.
The ceremony was short and heartfelt. Lisa and Taylor renewed the vows they had written the year before. Lisa’s cousin officiated and shared beautiful words, followed by their list of “10 things we learned from one year of marriage,” which was both funny and incredibly sweet.
Lisa’s parents had printed a life-size cardboard cutout of Lisa and Taylor from their engagement session with me. It made its way onto the dance floor and was passed around late into the night. It was a riot, ridiculous, and unforgettable. Exactly like them.
