Salem Cross Inn Wedding
Liz & Michael’s Salem Cross Inn wedding on November 9th was our last one of the year. What a way to end the season! These two had put so much time and thought into planning every detail of their day, and it was very apparent. Their mixed faith ceremony, which they wrote themselves, was so relaxed and personal. The reception was a blast and the dancing did not stop, except for when we took Liz and Michael out at sunset for a few more photos. We almost didn’t want to interrupt them, but SO glad we did! We will start out with of our favorites shots of Liz and Michael as the sun was going down.
Thank you Liz and Michael! What a way to end our wedding season.
Much Love!
Audrey & Cody

Michael getting ready.Liz getting ready with her Mom and sisters. They reminded me of my sister and Mom. Being in the bridal suite with them was hysterical. I might as well have been at home 🙂Liz and Michael’s first look. Love this first shot.Liz making Michael wait just one more second before he could turn around. How gorgeous is Liz’s sweater!?My view, and then Cody’s view. These two images very much describe how it is to photograph these two. Liz is always making Michael laugh! That is a pretty handsome couple right there.
When I had first asked Liz and Michael to dance for one of the shots, this is what we got from Liz 😉 … I should I have known better, haha. The Ceremony. Time to get hitched! Liz and Michael had a beautiful mixed-faith ceremony, that they prepared themselves. It really is a pleasure to witness personalized and thoughtful wedding ceremonies like theirs. A couple family photos.Just a few reception details. The rings! Liz and Michael gave a great welcome speech to all their guests. The Hora. Two really sweet toasts. We loved how simple, yet beautiful, the cake was.Cutting the cake! The first dance. The Braley boys.
Who doesn’t love a baby at a wedding 😉We had to get one of the whole group. So sweet! The sun was setting during the reception, so we grabbed Liz and Michael to snap just a few more!Liz and Michael had a sparkler exit!

LIZ&MICHAEL
How did you both meet?
Liz: “We met in a service-learning program at UMass Amherst called Citizen Scholars. In class one day, I looked over at him and realized he was pretty cute. The rest is history. ”
Michael: “Liz and I were in a program together during College, I must have impressed her with my supreme intellect and dashing good looks.”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Liz: “There were so many highpoints, it’s too hard to choose one. We put a lot of work into our ceremony and as it all unfolded (a little differently than planned), I was really proud to look across at Michael knowing that we had done this together. It was also really fun at the end of the reception when everyone stood in a circle and belted out Don’t Stop Believin’. ”
Michael: “Our ceremony, which was we planned to a T, ended up going a little awry, but ended up being a wonderful and super personal experience. ”
What was the funniest?
Liz: “My family dancing at the wedding. I am blessed to come from an amazing group of people who are as passionate about breaking it down as I am. ”
Michael: “Trying to wrangle your family members for formal photos is like trying to get a group of naughty school children to listen and stand still and listen to instructions.”
Advice for future couples?
Liz: “On the day of the wedding, you should let go of the details and make sure you are really engaged and present. The goal of the day is to get married. As long as that happens, everything has gone as planned.”
Michael: “Make sure you get lots of people to help you take care of lots of the little things. If you are too tied up in the details you won’t be able to relax and enjoy yourself in the months prior to your wedding and will be more stressed about it on the day of.”
