Saint Joseph’s Abbey Engagement – Taylor & Marc
Taylor and Marc’s Saint Joseph’s Abbey engagement session took place in Spencer, MA, and I was genuinely excited to be back here. I hadn’t photographed at the Abbey in years. When Taylor and Marc suggested it, it felt like the perfect choice.
Saint Joseph’s Abbey sits at the top of a gently sloping hill, surrounded by oak, maple, and pine trees, with open meadows and pastureland stretching out around it. This location feels so peaceful and serene! The monastery itself adds a quiet presence, and the monks are welcoming to visitors, offering prayers and blessings to those who pass through.
Taylor and Marc started the session dressed up. Taylor wore a beautiful light blue sundress, and at one point she kicked off her shoes and embraced being barefoot. They’re relaxed together and clearly so in love.
Halfway through, they changed into more casual outfits and we headed into the open fields. We ran around, sat in the grass, and leaned into movement and laughter. Taylor and Marc humored me with a few of my suggested shenanigans, and the result was exactly what I hoped for. The photos feel light, fun, and full of life. Just like them.
What I love about Taylor and Marc is how easy they are together. Nothing feels forced. Everything flows naturally. That’s always my goal with engagement sessions.
Taylor and Marc get married at Publick House, and I can’t wait their wedding!
Much Love,
Audrey
