Lauren and Eddie had a beautiful, laid back Kinney Bungalow wedding. If you are looking for a unique venue in Rhode Island, Kinney is it! I just love, loved the wedding party’s attire. The light tans and greens, accented with a bit of bold red were perfect for a summer wedding. So much fun, from start to finish!

LAUREN+EDDIE
How did you both meet?
Lauren: “Eddie and I met at a Barbecue. I was visiting Philadelphia with some friends because I was considering moving there. A girl I was with knew Eddie, so we went to a BBQ at his house. Eddie didn’t believe I could be over the age of 18 and made me show him my ID (I was 23 at the time). Somehow we hit it off and the rest is history. Needless to say, I did end up moving to Philly.”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Lauren: “It is hard to put my finger on one thing… everything was wonderful and we had such a great time. From the beautiful ceremony while standing under the arbor, to the wonderful toasts and kind words from friends and family, to the delicious meal and dinner conversation, to the wild and crazy dance moves out on the dance floor. It was clear that everyone had an absolute blast and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.”
Eddie: “The most memorable part of the day was literally saying, ‘I do.’ It was something I’d been looking forward to for over a year, and it felt great to finally be in that moment. The celebration that followed was pretty great, too.
What was the funniest?
Lauren: “I would have to say the crazy dance moves I saw… we witnessed some break dancing, a Michael Jackson routine, a serious salsa dancer, and a “spin the bottle” style dance circle. Eddie: “Watching a one year old flower girl and three year old ring bearer walk down the aisle while trying to internally make sense of everything going on around them was pretty entertaining. They both did a great job.”Advice for future brides and grooms?
Lauren: “ENJOY YOURSELF. The day before the wedding I gave a list of duties and the order of events to my maids of honor and other important people… after that it was in their hands and it was no longer my job to worry about a thing. As I got ready before the wedding, I was so relaxed that my bridesmaids nicknamed me ‘bride-zen’ instead of ‘bridezilla.’”
Eddie: “Make the wedding yours. Lauren and I spent a lot of time talking about the wedding day details that were important to us, and eliminated some of the traditions that weren’t (for example, we opted for dessert over a wedding cake). The end result was that, when the big day rolled around, we were able to simply enjoy ourselves and be comfortable in every aspect of the ceremony and reception.”LAUREN+EDDIE’S SONGS
