JEN&SCOTT
How did you both meet?
Jen: “I was working an early morning shift for 5 Hour Energy and my boss told me to go to downtown Boston. Being my first week living in the city I followed signs to Downtown Crossing and ended up in the Public Garden. The girl I was working with grew up in a horse farm and wanted to go see the police officers horse. It took some convincing but I finally walked over with her and we struck up a conversation. The cop turned out to be Scott. After talking for 15 minutes her and I decided to break for lunch but not before the “cop” made me promise not to leave without saying goodbye to him or he would ticket our car. After lunch, and 2 margaritas, we headed back to say goodbye. Scott somehow got my phone number by using the line “ma’am I’m an on duty officer so I can’t ask for your phone number, but if you said it loud enough I could put it in my phone.” We talked and texted for 2 days when he then invited me over for a home cooked dinner and the rest is history!”
Scott: “As a Park Ranger, I was patrolling the park on my horse. I saw this beautiful girl so I started trotting over to her then grabbed her by the arm, threw her on the back of my horse and rode off into the sunset. ”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Jen: “Being absolutely overwhelmed walking down the isle to get to scott and trying not to run into his arms. It was so emotional standing holding his hands in front of our family and friends and about to be married that I just couldn’t stop crying even though I had a huge smile on my face.”
Scott: “Watching Jen walk to the place where she was going to walk down the aisle. It was a surreal moment involving a ton of emotion.”
What was the funniest?
Jen: “When scott turned to the crowd to say his vows during the ceremony instead of saying them to me…. And when Jeff told me I’m an onion because every time he came near me all day he would start crying.”
Scott: “The speeches from the Bestman and Made of Honor”
Advice for future couples?
Jen: “ Stay calm and have fun planning it together. The day is about you so remember how in love you are during each stage of the planning. After everything is over and done with it won’t matter what flavor the filling of your cake was, what matters is that you are married and starting your new life together!”
Scott: “Decide what things about your wedding are the most important and only worry about those. There are way to many little things that could go wrong. Don’t stress it. ”
