Family Photos at Home – A Documentary Session with the P Family
There’s something undeniably special about family photos at home—the place where real life happens, where love is felt in the smallest moments, and where memories are made every single day. The P Family recently welcomed their sweet Baby R, and at six months old, she’s in that magical stage of discovery, expression, and personality. Every little glance, every curious stare, and yes, even the serious faces, tell the story of who she is right now. Just because your little one isn’t a tiny newborn, doesn’t mean you can’t have family photos at home.
Welcome little one!
When I arrived for their in-home session, the P Family had a few specific shots and photo ideas in mind. I love when families bring their vision to the table—after all, these photos are for you! But what I love even more is capturing the moments in between. The way Baby R looks at her parents in the mirror. The way her Dad brushes her hair. Even how Mom and Dad deliberate on which outfit for her to wear next. The quiet, candid moments that might go unnoticed in the everyday but are the ones you’ll cherish the most as time goes on.
Thank you all! So much love,
Audrey

This is the magic of documentary-style family photography. A professional sees your home through a different lens—finding beauty in the corners you might overlook, turning a simple moment into a piece of art. The couch where you rock your baby to sleep, the kitchen where tiny hands reach for yours, the hallway that echoes with laughter—these spaces hold your memories. And years from now, when the baby giggles turn into teenage eye rolls (trust me, I know), these images will bring you right back to these fleeting, love-filled days.
If you’ve ever wondered whether an at-home photo session is right for your family, I’d love to chat.
Let’s capture the beauty of your everyday, just as it is—because these moments are worth remembering.
