Bull Mansion Wedding
Worcester Massachusetts
Alexandra & Armand
Alexandra & Armand’s Bull Mansion wedding was on a gorgeous November day! Most of their family is from out of town. Much of Alexandra’s family traveled from Scotland to attend. Alexandra and Armand paid homage to their roots with many Scottish touches: Tartan decor, bag pipes and traditional dances! Bull Mansion was the perfect backdrop for this.
Half way through the reception Alexandra’s uncle and cousins taught everyone a few traditional Ceilidh dances. Ceilidh is folk music and dancing, traditional for Scottish and Irish weddings. Everyone had so much fun! This was really an amazing day, all on it’s own. But for me, I really enjoyed being a part of this day because of my own Scottish/Irish heritage. Learning and witnesses others’ traditions makes photographing such a gift – it really never gets old.
Congratulations Alexandra and Armand! Thank you for allowing me to witness your wedding day.
Much Love!
Audrey

How did you both meet?
Alexandra & Armand: “We met online! And then we actually met in person for coffee.”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Alexandra & Armand: “Definitely our vows ceremony – it was short, but it meant a lot to me. Also my uncle and cousins teaching all our guests Ceilidh – traditional Scottish – dances and seeing so many of them try it out – and do a great job!”
What was the funniest?
Alexandra & Armand: “My sister did a surprise toast – reading a message from the point of view of our cat. It was cute, and made extra funny by the blown-up-to-giant-size picture of the cat she brought along as a prop.”
Advice for future couples getting married?
Alexandra & Armand: “Make a (short) list of the must-have things that are important to you. And for everything else – try to relax! Cut out the parts that you don’t want or need (for us, some things that got cut were a cake cutting ceremony and wedding favors). Try to remember that there are just a few truly necessary elements: if the people you want to celebrate with are there and if you are married by the end of the day – that’s a successful wedding. All the other things are just extras.”

“Wonderful.”
“Audrey did a truly amazing job photographing our wedding. When we think back on the day, what comes to mind first is how much fun we had – and all of Audrey’s photos really bring that feeling to mind.Audrey was organized and professional throughout the whole process. Her clear plan, easy communication, and checklists for getting the day right really reassured us that everything was in good hands. On the day of the wedding, all the photography went so smoothly – many of our family mentioned to us afterwards how well Audrey “blended in” – she got all the pictures we wanted, and was in no way obtrusive or distracting.
We found Audrey through good friends of ours after she photographed their wedding – and I would absolutely continue the chain and recommend her to any other friends looking for a wedding photographer.”
