Tuckerman Hall is centrally located in Worcester MA, which is a one to three hour drive from any of New England’s three major airports. The Hall was designed in 1902 by one of America’s first female architects, Josephine Wright Chapman.
Tuckerman Hall can comfortably host weddings of up to 200 guests. Their staff is dedicated to helping you plan the perfect event. They describe their facility as having timeless beauty, elegance, sophistication, with an uncompromising attention to detail. It also works with a premiere list of central Massachusetts’ best caterers. Tuckerman Hall will only book one wedding per weekend, so their focus will absolutely only be on you!
Tuckerman Hall is owned and operated by the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, Inc., which is a Massachusetts non-profit corporation. It is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is located in a National Historic District in Worcester. Fun fact: Woodrow Wilson and John F. Kennedy have both spoken at Tuckerman Hall!

Tuckerman Hall HAS MANY BEAUTIFUL SPACES FOR YOU TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF.
The Main Hall is on the second level, a grand space for your reception. The acoustics in the main hall are exceptional. There are large windows, a stage, and a balcony over looking the main floor. The space is bright and clean with incomparable plaster gilded details, phenomenal millwork and a 40’ ceiling.
The Circular shaped Lower Hall is on the main floor, and also has a stage. This hall is perfect for a cocktail hour.
The more intimate spaces of Tuckerman Hall
On the third level is Bridal Suite, a beautiful, bright open space with large windows and a small kitchen. This space also has a fireplace and beautiful furniture. The bridal suite is a dream for any make-up artist or photographer!
The third and second level also have many rooms that are perfect for any of your photography needs; from an intimate first look to beautiful family photos. Most rooms have a fireplace and are all gorgeously and simply decorated. Each room is designed with a different architectural motif including Dutch, Moorish, Renaissance Revival, and Colonial Revival designs. You’ll have your choice of stylish backdrops!
Other Photography Opportunities
There are many outdoor photo opportunities at Tuckerman Hall, just outside the door or up to a few blocks away. A few notable areas include: Worcester Art Museum, Trinity Lutheran Church, Institute Park, WPI campus (Higgins House) and Elm Park. Don’t forget to include time for a night photo with Tuckerman’s lit entrance facade.

Being your Tuckerman Hall wedding photographer gives me an advantage because I know the venue extremely well – I have had the opportunity to photograph here. The venue can be technical to light properly for photography because of the very high ceilings, so choosing a photographer who can utilize multiple off-camera flashes, throughout the day, is an absolute must.
