MISTY MEADOWS FARM WEDDING
CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
UPDATE 2/2020: Misty Meadows is no longer hosting weddings, but Christina (and family) have purchased their own, brand new venue right up the road. Please read about Oakholm Farm and their amazing work here. Oakholm Farm’s address is 80 Lake Rd, Brookfield, Massachusetts 01506
Jen and Erik had an epic Misty Meadows Farm wedding in June! But first the disclosure: Erik is Cody’s cousin AND Jen and Erik are our neighbors! (Yes, it sounds as awesome as it really is!) Erik is the youngest and last sibling in his family to get married, and over the years we have had the pleasure of photographing both his brother Rob’s wedding and sister Mel’s wedding. So it only seemed appropriate to carry out the family tradition 😉 . We are so happy to share this wedding with you.
Erik started out the day at home with his brother and nephew. Jen got ready at her childhood home in Hadley with all her closest ladies. Then we met up at Misty Meadows Farm in Brookfield for the best-est first look we have ever witnessed – the bride in a full sprint across the lawn to her groom! The entire day was beautiful and wonderfully planned to a “T”. Eventive and Misty Meadows took care of us throughout the day. B&M Catering put on a delicious spread. World Record DJs kept the party going all night and assisted in us getting the most ridiculous dance floor shot we have ever taken … But you’ll have to scroll to the bottom of this post to see it. 😉
Thank you Jen & Erik! We love you both. Here’s to happily ever after!

JEN & ERIK
How did you both meet?
Jen: “We met at a drunken dance party in Erik’s dorm room our senior year of college. I couldn’t resist Erik’s dance moves…the rest is history.”
Erik: “I had one to many coors lattes during a dance party in my dorm room. Did something that looked like a stanky leg (if leg was broken), talked to this chick….this chick is now my wife.”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Jen: “The most memorable part for me was the first look. It was the best feeling being able to spend time with Erik before our friends and family saw us. Also, dancing to “Family Tradition” TWICE during the reception was a blast!”
Erik: “Seeing my beautiful wife for the first time during the first look. Next best was having everyone on the dance floor shouting (or slurring) “Family Tradition”.”
What was the funniest?
Jen: “Everyone dancing around in the ‘Merica SnapBack!”
Erik: “My brother/best man Rob’s speech. I took a beating as he came well prepared to put on a show!”
Advice for future couples?
Jen: “Do a first look!! All of the anxious energy I was feeling leading up to seeing Erik immediately disappeared the moment I saw him! We were able to enjoy each other, talk and really soak in the whole moment.”
Erik: “Surround yourself with great vendors. They will ensure your day goes smooth, allowing you to be care free and focus on what matters. They know how a wedding is supposed to work, don’t try and re-invent the wheel.”
