Oh man, Cody and I just love weddings like this. So much thought, detail and time put into the big day. Liz and Chris married in Liz’s parents’ backyard, which was filled with the biggest apple trees you have ever seen. There were stacks of wood, beautiful gardens and sheds; you just can’t beat it!
Liz and Chris used a lot of chalk board signs. We loved this one in particular. We included this same excerpt from the “Velveteen Rabbit” in our own wedding.
“Prepare to Boogie!” was Liz and Chris’ moto for the day.
Liz’s parents beautiful backyard was filled with apple trees. A few apples even fell from the trees during the ceremony.
Their pup, Lucy!
Chris’ Dad gave him a 5th generation family heirloom Illinois pocket watch before the ceremony. I can picture Cody drooling over this as he took these images. =)
Liz is an amazing make-up artist. She did her own make-up.
Lucy was so comfy she took a nap.
“Head back, tears back!” Liz trying not to cry =)
The ceremony!
Liz’s brother Ben and friend Hilary performed at the ceremony. So beautiful.
Yay!
My view …

The Dining Car was the yummiest! No really, go check them out in the streets of Boston!
The Pumpkin Whoopie Pies Liz and her Mom made!
The band, Soulstice, was making everyone boogie!
Boogie! Boogie! Boogie!Liz’s nephew had a blast dancing and playing the tambourine ALL NIGHT! Up on his Dad’s shoulders here!

LIZ+CHRIS
How did you both meet?
Liz: “We met both working at Slattery’s restaurant in Fitchburg in 2006. We were together within weeks of meeting each other. I was a waitress and Chris worked at the bar. Chris had an internship lined up with a production company in January 07 in NYC. I moved there with him and we’ve been living together in New York ever since.”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Liz & Chris: “We both agree that the ceremony was our favorite part of the wedding. It was so personal and played out exactly like we had hoped. Chris Casello officiating made it all the more special for us. My brother (Ben Coakley) and friend (Hilary Chadwick) sounded beautiful playing us in and out of the ceremony.”
Liz: “Soulstice rocked the house. The music at the reception was perfect and everyone was on the dance floor. When I heard lead singer Melissa Gates begin “Immigrant Song” I knew it was on.”
Chris: “My father giving me a 5th generation heirloom pocket watch was a particularly special part of my day.”
What was the funniest?
Chris: “Nicole (Maid of Honor) wheelbarrowing Dylan (Best Man) into the reception tent as they were announced.” Liz: “My nephew Liam rocking out to the band, tambourine in hand on my brother’s shoulders.”Advice for future brides and grooms?
Liz: “Take a moment in your day to appreciate what’s happening. It passes so quickly. Take 10 minutes alone with your partner to soak in all of the love and celebration of the day.”
Chris: “Allow a lot of time to prep if you’re doing an outdoor wedding! There were lots more details than we initially anticipated. We had a week to actually prep in the space and we needed every minute.”
