Wachusett Mountain Wedding First Look
Jillian and Mike. What a day! You both were so thoughtful and focused in planning your wedding at Wachusett Mountain. You knew what you wanted and you most certainly achieved it! AND your first look was just the sweetest!
Jillian and Mike’s day was relaxed and full of laid back fun. I think Cody and I can say, that they had THE CALMEST bridal suites we have ever seen. Everyone was hanging out, there were no hiccups, and nothing was missing or awry. The ladies were mingling and drinking mimosas, while the guys played cards and enjoyed some of Wachusett’s finest brews. Then we all headed up to the mountain summit for bridal and family portraits. But not before making a quick pit stop for Jillian and Mike’s first look! We LOVE first looks and their’s was super sweet! After the ceremony we got to ride up the chair lift. Then it was party time! The evening was filled with great food and drink, amazing music from the band, The Common Good, and a s’more bar outside on the patio under the stars. And of course the Photo Booth! 😉
Thank you Jillian and Mike! Your day was relaxing and full of great people and good laughs! You showed everyone how a wedding is done!
Much Love!

And it is starting to feel real. The fabulous Maid of Honor making sure everything is in place.
Now for the guys!
Of course Mike had to represent with the Wachusett Blueberries at the bar!
Jillian and Mike’s wedding first look before the ceremony! We used one of the newer mountain look outs with a view.
Such a gorgeous spot for a wedding’s first look.
Then we all headed to the summit for more pictures!
It was a little windy, as it usually is at the top of the mountain, and the ladies were having a “Marilyn” moment.
Cody’s view …
… and my view!
Time to get hitched! And the sun came out just in time!
Yay! They’re married!
What is the first thing you do as a married couple? You take a ride up the chair lift, of course!
Some of Jillian and Mike’s reception details: They had a friend who makes these beautiful custom card boxes (iwantabox), which they inserted a few photos from their engagement session. A beautiful, personal touch to the wedding, but also a great keepsake! Jillian and Mike also displayed an engagement photo in one of our Barnwood Frames, one of our popular, rustic wall art offerings.
They also rented our photo booth and opted for the bonus 4×6 enlargement. So they gave all their guests a frame as their favor. Definitely a great idea!
I really loved the center piece boxes done by Floral Arts of Westford. The aged barn wood with dovetail cut detail was simple and gorgeous.
We have to say, the staff at Wachusett Mountain was phenomenal! The first dance!
Mike surprised Jillian with a second first dance, as the band played Adam Sandler’s “I want to grow old with you”. So cute, and we love surprises!
Jillian’s wedding band is very special to her, and I loved that she shared that with me! She had diamonds put in from her grandmothers on both sides of her family.
Gorgeous rustic themed cake and cupcake display done by friend, Shauna of Piro’s Bakery!
The cake cutting!
The parent dances!
The Common Good was awesome! The kept it rocking throughout the entire evening!
And, of course, we had to add one shot of the bride and groom in the Cutler PhotoBooth!

JILLIAN+MIKE
How did you both meet? Jillian: “Mike and I met on Match.com. I did ‘wink’ at him first! Our first date was at Margaritas.” Mike: “We met online through friends.”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Jillian: “I was situated on the top of the stairs off the bridal suite, at the beginning of the processional. From this vantage point I was able to see my grandparents, parents and the entire bridal party process in to the ceremony. Was such a special moment to see everyone walk in. As I walked down the stairs with my dad and walked out of the building towards Mike, I was so happy to see all of our friends and family together to celebrate with us.” Mike: “Waving to friends and family on the way down the ski lift while they were on the way up.”
What was the funniest?
Jillian: “During the ceremony, the JP brought up the fact that I grew up a Yankees fan (born and raised in Connecticut; some of my family are Yankees fans, some are Red Sox fans). After I moved to the Boston area since college, I was converted to a Red Sox fan. My grandfather yelled out “Atta girl” during the ceremony!” Mike: “Botching the wedding ring exchange as I learned (again) which hand was my right hand and which was my left.”Advice for future couples?
Jillian: “Have fun with it! Do what feels right, and try not to second guess yourself along the way.” Mike: “Front load as much as your planning as you can. You’ll have enough to do during crunch time that you won’t have time to do the things you procrastinated on too. ”
