I have had the pleasure of knowing these two since grammar school. It is amazing to watch two lives, two friends, walk down two paths that have finally come together. Lets just say, the anticipation of Tomeca and Pat’s wedding day was epic! The day began as one of the hottest of August; 90+ degrees, 100% humidity and a heavy thunderstorm right before the ceremony began. But the rain stopped and the sun came out for the ceremony and everyone was ready to get the party going!
Yay! Finally!
The dancing from this group was fantastic!
We had some ’90s boy band renditions……and these two knew how to work it…“The Sprinkler”…
…and yes, “The Chainsaw”!

How did you both meet?
Tomeca: “Eighteen years ago, Patrick and I met when my family moved in next door to his. We were only ten years old at the time, so we didn’t become friends right away. However, as we got older, we grew closer and became best friends. We would see each other almost every day and could spend hours talking on the phone. Our lives took us in different directions for a few years, but 7 years ago we began dating and have been sharing our lives together ever since!”
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Tomeca: “I had such an amazing time at our wedding that it’s so hard to choose just one part. However, nothing will compare with that moment when I rounded the corner and saw Patrick for the first time as I began my walk down the aisle!”
Patrick: “Watching my Bride walk down the aisle in her beautiful dress all dolled up. She looked magnificent.”
What was the funniest?
Tomeca: “I laughed the most during our best man and maid of honor speeches. Hearing stories about my husband when he was having fun with friends and reminiscing about certain moments when we were children brought a smile to my face and many laughs among our guests!”
Patrick: “Getting on the dance floor to bust a move and hearing the DJ say it was last call at the bar. I just remember thinking, ‘Where did the night go’? Very comical.”
Advice for future brides and grooms?
Tomeca: One of the most valuable pieces of advice I received in the days and months leading up to our wedding was to *enjoy every moment*! With all of the time and effort that goes into planning the wedding, it is almost saddening how quickly the wedding itself goes by. There is so much happening on the big day itself that it can pass you by if you don’t take the time to stop and take it all in. Even those moments before the wedding when you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, please enjoy it because you will never get to experience those moments again. Just remember, at the end of the day, the wedding may have come to an end, but your life with your partner is just beginning!”
Patrick: “Enjoy your day and realize that is going to go by quickly. Hang out with the boys/girls on that day. The last thing you want is to be alone and having those nerves creep in on you. I could not imagine how nervous I would have been if I were on my own.”
Tomeca and Pat, thanks for allowing us to be a part of your awesomeness!
Love!
